Habitat modelling to Identify Priority Conservation Areas of the Crocodylus porosus in the Philippines
This is an ongoing research conducted by GrIDS through For. Milben A. Bragais, For. Ozzy Boy S. Nicopior, For. Leonardo D. Barua, For. Lester Ryan P. Mojica, and Mr. Leo Kris M. Palao in partnership with Crocodylus Porosus Philippines, Inc. (CPPI). The objective of this research is to support species conservation, adaptation, and mitigate human-crocodile conflict through habitat mapping of Crocodylus porosus in the Philippines. The output of the research also aims to prioritize efforts through a more targeted habitat management that can promote increase in species population. This projected improved habitat management will contribute to species adaptation in other identified suitable areas.
